Better Public Education
Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed and has the right to a high-quality public education. It’s in their interest and ours too, as a community and as a nation. Students, no matter what their income, race, background, or disability can thrive in classrooms where they are supported and have access to resources to fit their needs. We must close the achievement gap and offer equitable opportunities for all students to succeed. Recruiting and retaining highly qualified education professionals is essential to developing strong schools and prepared students. We must do better.
Health & Wellness
For too many Marylanders, securing affordable, quality, care poses a challenge. No one should have to choose between filing a prescription and meeting basic needs, like paying rent or buying food. Access to resources that support overall health and well being benefit everyone in the community.

Our Debt to Seniors
Those who have worked so hard to create the world we enjoy and to whom we owe so much should be paid back with our love, our respect and a continuum of services that enable them to live vibrantly as they age. We are blessed that the community of seniors is increasing: the number of seniors over 85 has tripled in the last 10 years and will continue to grow dramatically. But their needs are multiplying too, and becoming more complex.

Protecting the Environment & Our Democracy
From extreme weather events to flooding and sea level rise, our environmental stewardship affects everyone in this generation and the next. Better, balanced environmental policies can bring us not just healthier futures, but a stronger economy, including a wealth of “green” jobs in businesses and local enterprises.
Such policies must be an urgent priority.
